Robert Johnson was the most legendary
blues artist of all time. He combined great vocal ability, intricate solo
guitar accompaniment, and a blazing slide technique to forge his own style.
His uncanny skills gave rise to the notion that he had sold his soul to
the Devil. He recorded a mere 30 sides in 1936 before he was poisoned to
death in his late twenties, but his legacy is a fount of inspiration for
blues artists to this day.
