John Lee Hooker

John Lee Hooker --- alias "Hook" --- is the blues' foremost proponent of "the boogie." Another prolific artist, you've probably at one time or another heard his deep, rich voice growl "haw, haw, haw, haw!" In Hook's heyday in Detroit in the late 40's and early 50's, he recorded under dozens of names, sometimes several in the same day. Today, he lives comfortably in Northern California's Bay Area.
